Description

This small Chinese sideboard, circa 1890, is made from oriental softwood and offers three drawers below the top surface above a double door cupboard, retaining its original hardware. Evidence within the interior shows it was previously red lacquered, later stripped back to its current wheat-toned appearance. A stabilised split to the top and minor surface marks reflect gentle use.

MADE FROM FROM ORIENTAL SOFTWOOD, WITH 3 DRAWERS BELOW THE TOP SURFACE AND A DOUBLE DOOR CUPBOARD BELOW. ORIGINAL HARDWARE. DISPLAYING EVIDENCE FROM THE INTERIOR TO HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY RED LACQUERED, HAVING BEEN LATER STRIPPED BACK TO IT’S CURRENT APPEARANCE.

DUE TO IT’S SMALL SIZE IT IS IDEAL FOR MANY ROOMS AROUND THE HOME.

MINOR EXPECTED SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK, 1 SMALL SPLIT TO TOP SURFACE WHICH HAS BEEN STABILISED.
