19TH CENTURY EMPIRE REVIVAL FLAME MAHOGANY PEDESTAL DESK CIRCA 1870.
EMPIRE REVIVAL MAHOGANY PEDESTAL DESK COMPRISING OF 3 PARTS. 2 PLANK SOLID MAHOGANY WRITING SURFACE WITH 1 DRAWER ABOVE THE KNEE WITH A FURTHER DRAWER EACH SIDE. RIGHT HAND PEDESTAL IS FITTED WITH A BANK OF 4 DRAWERS AND BRASS HANDLES. LEFT HAND SIDE PEDESTAL IS FITTED WITH 4 DRAWER SLIDES.
REVERSE IS FITTED WITH DUMMY DRAWERS AND CUPBOARDS WHICH ECHOES THE FRONT MAKING THIS DESK FREE STANDING.
DRAWER FRONTS AND DOORS ARE VENEERED IN A RICH STRIKING FLAME MAHOGANY. TOP SURFACE HAS RECENTLY BEEN RE-FINISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP.
STANDING ON SHAPED BRACKET FEET.
EXPECTED SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK, MINOR RESTORATION TO VENEER.
