EARLY 19TH CENTURY DUTCH INLAID OAK WRITING SLOPE CIRCA 1800.
GOOD QUALITY DUTCH WRITING SLOPE PRESENTED IN ORIGINAL CONDITION, COMPRISING OF 2 PARTS.
TOP SECTION MADE IN OAK WITH INLAY TO THE SIDES, FRONT AND FALL. HINGED LID OPENS TO REVEAL A FULLY FITTED INTERIOR OF INLAID DRAWERS WHICH LOOK LIKE THE DAY THEY WERE MADE DUE TO NOT BEING EXPOSED TO DAYLIGHT. 2 DRAWERS EITHER SIDE OF A LOCKABLE CENTRAL TABERNACLE, WHICH CONTAINS A FURTHER 2 DRAWERS. DRAWER TO THE BASE OF THE SAME MANOR. RAISED ON 4 TURNED LEGS UNITED BY A SHAPED STRETCHER.
OBVIOUS MARKS/STAINING AND OLD REPAIRS TO WOODWORK. STRUCTURALLY STRONG AND STANDS TRUE, FINE QUALITY OCCASIONAL PIECE READY FOR THE HOME.
