INTERESTING PIECE OF SWEDISH MADE CHINOISERIE / ROCOCO REVIVAL FURNITURE.

MADE IN PINE WITH A DEEP RED LACQUER BASE COLOUR, WITH PLUM COLOURED BORDERS. HAND PAINTED ELEMENTS SHOWING EXOTIC BIRDS AND FLORALS TO THE DOOR AND SINGLE DRAWER FRONT. EMBOSSED BORDERS AND HAND PAINTED GILT ELEMENTS. FURTHER HAND PAINTED DESIGNS TO THE SIDES AND TOP.

SINGLE DOOR CUPBOARD OPENS UP TO REVEAL UNUSUALLY, A TRADITIONAL HAND PAINTED SWEDISH FOLK ART INTERIOR, IN A CONTRASTING BLUE AND WHITE DESIGN TO THE DOOR AND A WASHED BLUE INTERIOR, WHICH COMPRISES OF 2 FIXED SHELVES.
