SWEDISH 19TH CENTURY FOLK ART HAND PAINTED DOME TOP COFFER CIRCA 1805.

TRADITIONAL HAND PAINTED COFFER IN SOLID PINE. HAND DECORATED WITH 2 DATES AND THE INITIALS OF B.J.S, SURROUNDED BY OVER LAPPING WREATHS. TOP SURFACE IS ALSO PAINTED IN THE SAME MANNER. LID OPENS TO REVEAL PLENTY OF STORAGE AND A FITTED CANDLE BOX.

WITH ORIGINAL WORKING LOCK AND KEY.

EXPECTED LOSSES/FADING TO PAINT, SHRINKAGE TO WOOD JOINS. MINOR EVIDENCE OF PREVIOUS DEAD INACTIVE TREATED WOOD WORM.
