SWEDISH 19TH CENTURY BIRCH MORA CLOCK CIRCA 1840.
BEAUTIFUL SWEDISH LONGCASE CLOCK, OFTEN KNOWN BY THE REGION OF MORA IN SWEDEN AND THEIR BANJO SHAPE.
THIS CLOCK FEATURES A RARE CLOCK DIAL MADE FROM WOOD, WITH PAINTED SURFACE AND HAND PAINTED ARABIC NUMERALS AND 15 MINUTE MARKS. REMOVABLE HOOD, WITH EBONISED EDGE AND CONVEX GLASS.
DARK STAINED CASE, WITH HINGED DOOR TO THE FRONT WHICH ALLOWS ACCESS TO THE WEIGHTS AND PENDULUM.
THIS CLOCK WILL NEED TO BE FULLY SERVICED TO PROVIDE ACCURATE TIME KEEPING. WEIGHTS, PENDULUM AND WINDING KEY SUPPLIED. EXPECTED SURFACE MARKS AND MINOR RUBBING TO CLOCK FACE. ORIGINAL COLOUR AND PATINA TO WOODWORK.
