Description

This Scandinavian mahogany chest of drawers, circa 1950, is very much in the Art Deco taste, with a shaped outline and patterned veneer to the top drawers that open on the key. The lower drawers carry shaped handles, and the piece stands on tapered legs with channelled detailing. The veneer splits to the drawer fronts have been restored and it has been recently re-polished, with minor surface marks consistent with age.

TOP DRAWERS WITH PATTERNED VENEER WHICH OPEN ON THE KEY, BOTTOM DRAWERS FITTED WITH SHAPED HANDLES. STANDING ON TAPERED LEGS WITH CHANNELED DETAILING.

EVIDENCE ON AGE SPLITS TO VENEER ON DRAWER FRONTS WHICH HAS BEEN RESTORED, RECENTLY RE-POLISHED. MINOR SURFACE MARKS.
