Description

This French provincial commode, carved in walnut circa 1850, offers three drawers profusely carved with rosewood inserts and retains its original ornate handles and escutcheons. The colour and patina are beautiful, with expected surface marks of age, some surface staining to the top and a minor, non-structural age split — honest character for a piece of this period.
