MID 19TH CENTURY SWEDISH BIRCH FITTED CUPBOARD CIRCA 1860.

BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF TRADITIONAL SWEDISH FURNITURE FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE 19TH CENTURY.

MADE IN A STUNNING FIGURED SOLID BIRCH WHICH MAINTAINS IT’S ORIGINAL GOLDEN COLOUR.

RECTANGULAR TOP WITH MOULDED EDGE, DOUBLE DOORS BELOW OPEN TO REVEAL A PARTIALLY FITTED INTERIOR, WITH 3 DRAWERS IN BARE PINE BELOW THE TOP SURFACE AND A FURTHER 2 FIXED SHELVES BELOW. BOTH DOORS HAVE PAPER LISTS DATED FROM 1907 ON THEM, WRITTEN IN SWEDISH, WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE NICE TO MAINTAIN THESE AS THEY ARE PART OF THE HISTORY OF THE PIECE. TRACES OF ORIGINAL DECORATION ON THE SHELF FRONTS. LATCHED AND LOCKABLE DOOR WITH ORIGINAL QUIRKY LOCK.

CUPBOARD IS RAISED ON LATER BUN FEET.

EXPECTED SURFACE MARKS AND MINOR FADING. READY FOR EVERY USE IN THE KITCHEN,BEDROOM OR LINEN ROOM.
