RARE AND FINE QUALITY BAROQUE PERIOD WALNUT CABINET ON STAND CIRCA 1710.

COMPRISING OF 2 SECTIONS, TOP SECTION WITH SECRET COMPARTMENT IN THE CORNICE WHICH OPENS TO REVEAL AN OPEN DEEP STORAGE APERTURE, FINISHED WITH AN INLAID HINGED DOOR.

DOUBLE DOORS WITH CROSSBANDED WALNUT AND EBONY STRINGING FORMING A STAR MOTIF. OPENING THE DOORS REVEALS A FULLY FITTED ROSEWOOD INTERIOR, A CENTRAL GEOMETRIC PARQUET REMOVABLE TABERNACLE WITH A BANK OF 12 SECRET DRAWERS BEHIND. 15 DRAWERS COMPLETE THE INTERIOR EACH INLAID AND STRUNG WITH TULIPWOOD, EBONY AND BOXWOOD. INSIDES OF DOORS ARE INLAID MATCHING THE SAME DESIGN AS THE OUTSIDE.

BASE CONSISTS OF 1 DEEP CROSSBANDED DRAWER WITH BRASS HARDWARE. STANDING ON 4 TURNED LEGS UNITED BY STRETCHER, SUPPORTED BY FLAT BUN FEET.
