DANISH 19TH CENTURY FLAME MAHOGANY SIDE/SEWING TABLE CIRCA 1870.
GOOD QUALITY PIECE OF DANISH FURNITURE VERY MUCH IN THE EARLIER WILLIAM IV TASTE.
RECTANGULAR TOP WITH CANTED CORNERS AND A CONCAVE FRONT. QUARTER MATCHED VENEERS TO THE TOP WHICH CONTINUE THROUGH THE DRAWER FRONT. SINGLE DRAWER OPENS ON THE KEY, TO REVEAL A FULLY FITTED INTERIOR OF COMPARTMENTS WITH REMOVABLE LIDS. SUPPORTED BY A TURNED AND CARVED STEM, WITH 4 ARMS THAT REACH OUT TO EACH CORNER OF THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TOP. STANDING ON 3 CARVED FEET.
IDEAL FOR USE AS A LAMP TABLE OR FOR KEEPING THINGS ORGANISED IN THE HALLWAY.
