DANISH 18TH CENTURY WALNUT BUREAU WRITING DESK CIRCA 1730.
GOOD QUALITY BURR WALNUT DANISH BUREAU. RARE TO FIND A SCANDINAVIAN EXAMPLE WITH AN INTERIOR WELL.
BUREAU COMPRISES OF THE FALL AND 2 OVER 2 DRAWERS, ALL CROSS BANDED IN WALNUT. FALL DROPS ONTO BARERS TO REVEAL A FULLY FITTED INTERIOR OF DRAWERS AND PIGEON HOLES EITHER SIDE OF A CENTRAL TABERNACLE. BLACK FELT WRITING SURFACE. INTERIOR IS COMPLETED WITH A STORAGE WELL JUST IN FRONT OF THE WRITING SURFACE.
OAK LINED DRAWERS WITH ORIGINAL ORNATE HANDLES AND KEY PLATES.
STANDING ON BRACKET FEET.
EXPECTED HISTORICAL SURFACE MARKS AND RESTORATIONS TO VENEER. RECENTLY FULLY RESTORED AND RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP.
