19TH CENTURY TRADITIONAL HAND PAINTED DOME TOP COFFER CIRCA 1825.

BEAUTIFUL HAND PAINTED FOLK ART BLANKET CHEST FROM SWEDEN USING TRADITIONAL COLOURS. PAINTED TO THE FRONT WITH FLORALS AND SWAGS WITH INITIALS TO THE LEFT AND DATE OF 1825. DOMED LID OPENS TO REVEAL A PARTIALLY FITTED INTERIOR OF A ENCLOSED CANDLE BOX AND 3 PARTITION COMPARTMENT. ORIGINAL HANDLES, LOCKS AND STRAP WORK, REPLACEMENT KEY.

EXPECTED MINOR LOSSES TO WOODWORK AND SURFACE FADING. MINOR EXPECTED SHRINKAGE BETWEEN PLANKS TO TOP. TREATED FOR MINOR DEAD INACTIVE WORM.
