19TH CENTURY SWEDISH BIRCH CUPBOARD CIRCA 1860.
WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER THIS BEAUTIFULLY SWEDISH PIECE OF CRAFTSMANSHIP, MAKING IT A PRACTICAL ANTIQUE FOR EVERYDAY USE.
FANTASTIC COLOUR AND PATINA, VENEERED ALLOVER IN A TIGER BIRCH. RECTANGULAR TOP WITH ROUNDED FRONT EDGE AND MOULDING. BELOW A DOUBLE DOOR CUPBOARD WITH INSET PANELS. DOORS OPEN TO REVEAL A PARTIALLY FITTED INTERIOR OF 2 DRAWERS AND 3 FIXED SHELVES, WHICH HAS BEEN LATER PAINTED. SHAPED FREIZE AROUND THE FRONT FEET AND SIDES.
WORKING LOCK AND LATCH.
RESTORATIONS TO WOODWORK WHICH HAS BEEN DONE TO A HIGH STANDARD, EXPECTED SURFACE MARKS IN LINE WITH AGE AND USE. RECENTLY RE-POLISHED BY HAND IN OUR WORKSHOP.
