Description

This Regency rosewood davenport writing desk, circa 1840, is a good quality early Victorian piece of elegant proportions. The green leather writing surface with gold tooling is later replaced, and the hinged lid opens to reveal satinwood drawers, a pull-out pen tray and ink bottle storage. Fitted with Bramah locks (no key), it stands on fluted bun feet with brass castors and has been recently hand re-polished, showing minor surface marks in line with age.
