FRENCH 19TH CENTURY INLAID CHEST OF DRAWERS WITH MARBLE TOP CIRCA 1880.
WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER THIS RARE TALLBOY 8 DRAWER CHEST OF DRAWERS, WHICH OFFERS PLENTY OF STORAGE FOR SUCH A SMALL FOOTPRINT.
STUNNING LOOSE FITTING ORIGINAL MARBLE TOP WITH BULL NOSED EDGE. FITTED WITH 8 EQUAL SIZED DRAWERS EACH WITH A DIFFERENT INLAID DESIGN OF FLORALS AND BIRDS SET IN VARIOUS EXOTIC WOODS. CANTED CORNERS WITH ORMOLU MOUNTS AT THE TOP, WITH STRUNG AND BURR WALNUT BORDER. EACH SIDE WITH A DARK WALNUT BORDER AND DIAMOND SHAPED STRINGING. ALL RAISED ON A BRACKET FOOT BASE.
RESTORATION TO NATURAL AGE SPLIT ON SIDES, MINOR SURFACE MARKS IN LINE WITH AGE AND USE. BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF FURNITURE AND READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.
