Description

This Victorian carved walnut centre table, circa 1870, offers generous proportions and fine quality floral marquetry. The circular tilting top has a scalloped moulded edge, with a round strung centre echoed across six segments of florals and swags, raised on a turned column pedestal with three cabriole legs ending in scroll feet and later castors. Richly coloured in golden brown tones, it shows minor restorations and surface marks in keeping with age, and has recently been re-polished by hand in our workshop.

SUPPORTED BY A QUALITY CARVED SOLID WALNUT TURNED COLUMN PEDESTAL, STANDING ON THREE CARVED WALNUT SHAPED CABRIOLE LEGS WITH SCROLL FEET, LATER CASTORS.

RICH GOLDEN COLOUR, MINOR RESTORATIONS TO WOODWORK AND SURFACE MARKS IN LINE WITH AGE AND USE, RECENTLY RE-POLISHED BY HAND IN OUR WORKSHOP.
