Description

This Swedish table box, veneered in burr birch and dating to circa 1880, offers both character and practicality. The hinged lid, fitted with a brass handle and working lock and key, opens to reveal a pine storage tray, with further storage beneath. Its rich golden colour is complemented by only very minor losses to the edges, a natural feature of the burr.

GOOD QUALITY STORAGE BOX WITH WORKING LOCK AND KEY. VENEERED IN BURR BIRCH WITH BRASS HANDLE TO THE HINGED LID. TOP OPENS TO REVEAL A PINE STORAGE TRAY, WHICH LIFTS TO REVEAL FURTHER STORAGE UNDERNEATH.

GOOD RICH GOLDEN COLOUR. VERY MINOR LOSSES TO EDGES WHICH IS DUE TO THE BURR. GOOD QUALITY ITEM.
