EARLY 19TH CENTURY BIRCH EMPIRE LYRE FORM SIDE TABLE CIRCA 1820.

FINE QUALITY SWEDISH EMPIRE PERIOD BIRCH SIDE TABLE.

OVAL TOP, VENEERED IN BURR BIRCH COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL MOULDED EDGE. SINGLE DRAWER TO THE FRONT WITH WORKING LOCK AND KEY, OPENS TO REVEAL A DRAWER FITTED WITH COMPARTMENTS, WITH LIFT UP LIDS AND LEATHER LOOPED HANDLES. TOP RAISED BY A 5 STRING LYRE FORM SUPPORT WHICH LINKS TO THE MOULDED PLINTH BASE. TERMINATING ON EBONISED BALL FEET.

ORIGINAL RICH COLOUR AND PATINA.

MINOR SURFACE MARKS, RESTORATION TO BASE TO INCREASE STABILITY. FINE QUALITY EXAMPLE OF A 1ST EMPIRE SIDE TABLE OF THIS TYPE.
