19TH CENTURY ITALIAN CARVED WALNUT CENTER TABLE CIRCA 1870.

PROFUSELY CARVED WALNUT TABLE OF THE FINEST QUALITY. THIS TABLE COULD FUNCTION IN MULTIPLE ROLES AROUND THE HOME, SUCH AS A DESK, LIBRARY, CENTER OR HALL TABLE.

RECTANGULAR TOP WITH MATCHED QUARTER VENEERED CENTRE AND CROSS BANDED BORDER, FINISHED WITH A CARVED BORDER. FLUTED APRON WHICH SITS ON THE 4 TURNED AND CARVED BALUSTER SUPPORTS. DECORATED WITH 2 CARVED SCROLLING HEADS AND ACANTHUS DETAIL. SUPPORTS LEAD DOWN TO AN H FRAME BASE, WHICH IS FURTHER DECORATED WITH FLUTING AND MOULDING. STANDING ON 8 ACANTHUS AND PAW FEET.

BEAUTIFUL TABLE WHICH MAINTAINS A RICH COLOUR.
