Description

This 19th century Swedish birch circular centre table, circa 1870, is a fine Empire piece often known as a drum table for its rotating top. The circular birch top has a strung black border and sits above four drawers with matching stringing and black shield-shaped keyholes, raised on a column and platform base with carved lions paw feet. Expected restorations to the apron and base and a ring mark to the top are noted; recently re-polished in our workshop, it is ready for everyday use.
