SWEDISH PAINTED 19TH CENTURY CADDY TOP CHEST OF DRAWERS CIRCA 1870.

GOOD QUALITY OAK AND PINE SWEDISH COMMODE. RAISED SHAPED TOP SURFACE WHICH IS KNOWN AS A CADDY TOP. BELOW THE TOP ARE 3 DEEP DRAWERS OF EQUAL PROPORTIONS, FITTED WITH LATER RINGED HANDLES AND ESCUTHEON PLATES. STANDING ON FRONT TURNED FEET WITH BLOCK FEET TO THE REAR.

LATER PAINT WHICH IS JUST STARTING TO SHOW MINOR SIGNS OF WEAR. TOP SURFACE WITH SURFACE UNDULATIONS UNDER THE PAINT WORK.
