Description

This Swedish painted pine cupboard, circa 1890, offers a quietly handsome presence in the Gustavian manner. The double-door cabinet carries channelled detailing to either side, brass handles and a working lock and key, while the interior's fixed shelf with central partition creates four separate storage sections. Later painted in an off-white scheme, it shows expected minor surface marks and fading from use, standing on five shaped feet.

GOOD QUALITY SIDEBOARD/CABINET WHICH WOULD BE IDEAL AS A LINEN CUPBOARD OR THE KITCHEN.

DOUBLE DOOR CUPBOARD WITH CHANNELED DETAILING EITHER SIDE, FITTED WITH BRASS HANDLES, WORKING LOCK AND KEY. INTERIOR IS A FIXED SINGLE SHELF WITH A CENTRAL PARTITION, GIVING 4 SEPARATE SECTIONS FOR STORAGE.

STANDING ON 5 SHAPED FEET.

LATER PAINTED IN AN OFF WHITE COLOUR SCHEME, EXPECTED MINOR SURFACE MARKS AND FADING FROM USE.
