SWEDISH 18TH CENTURY CARVED PINE PAINTED CHEST CIRCA 1712.

BEAUTIFUL PAINTED RUSTIC HINGED BOX, WHICH AT OVER 300 YEARS OLD IS STILL READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.

DATED 1712 ON THE FRONT, ALSO WITH THE INITIALS J O D. HAND CARVED ON ALL SURFACES WITH A CHEQUERED DESIGN AND A FLOWER HEAD. ORIGINAL HINGES. INTERIOR WITH CANDLE COMPARTMENT AND OPEN STORAGE.

EXPECTED SURFACE MARKS, MINOR LOSSES AND AGE SPLITS IN LINE WITH AGE. STRUCTURALLY STRONG, A REAL PIECE OF SWEDISH HISTORY.
