Description

This small elm table top chest of drawers, circa 1890, is a charming piece of rustic Chinese craftsmanship. Made from elm with a show frame structure, it offers a single shallow drawer to the front and two deeper drawers to the right hand side beneath an over-sailing top. Good colour and patina remain, with only minor surface marks to the woodwork.

SUPERB QUALITY CHINESE PYRAMID SHAPED ALTER TABLE CHEST MADE FROM ELM. SHOW FRAME STRUCTURE WITH A SINGLE SHALLOW DRAWER TO THE FRONT AND 2 DEEPER DRAWERS TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE, FINISHED WITH AN OVER-SAILING TOP. GOOD COLOUR AND PATINA.

LIKELY TO HAVE LIGHTLY BEEN USED AS A SHOE CLEANING PIECE.

IDEAL PIECE THAT WOULD WORK ON MANY PIECES AROUND THE HOME.
