Description

This Scandinavian elm bookcase, circa 1950, is a good quality Swedish piece in the mid century manner. Its shallow rectangular form offers storage and display without a large footprint, with a quarter veneered single door cupboard secured by a working lock and key, three drawers with contrasting white knobs and an adjustable shelf in the open book area. Recently fully restored and re-polished in our workshop, it shows very minor surface marks and restorations, with a replaced back board coloured and polished to match.

GOOD QUALITY BOOKCASE FROM SWEDEN.

SHALLOW RECTANGULAR SHAPE, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL FOR STORAGE AND DISPLAY WITHOUT TAKING UP A LARGE FOOTPRINT. QUARTER VENEERED SINGLE DOOR CUPBOARD WHICH CONTAINS A SINGLE SHELF, SECURED WITH WORKING LOCK AND KEY. 3 DRAWERS BELOW THE TOP SURFACE FITTED WITH A CONTRASTING WHITE KNOB’S. MAIN BOOK STORAGE AREA FITTED WITH A SINGLE ADJUSTABLE SHELF. STANDING ON A SMALL BRACKET FOOT.

RECENTLY FULLY RESTORED AND RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP. VERY MINOR SURFACE MARKS AND RESTORATIONS TO WOODWORK, REPLACED BACK BOARD WHICH HAS BEEN COLOURED AND POLISHED TO MATCH.
