Description

This Scandinavian hand painted pine strong box, circa 1840, is a good example of traditional rustic Swedish woodwork. Painted in russet red with hand painted cream drags, it retains its original iron strap work, hinges and lock, though without key or latch. Showing age splits to the top and expected surface marks, it remains structurally sound and ready for everyday use.

AGE SPLITS TO TOP BUT STRUCTURALLY SOUND, EXPECTED SURFACE MARKS AND MINOR LOSSES, BUT READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.
