PAIR OF EARLY 20TH CENTURY CHIPPENDALE REVIVAL ARMCHAIRS CIRCA 1923.
GOOD QUALITY PAIR OF MAHOGANY ARMCHAIRS BY WELL KNOWN SWEDISH MAKER NORDISKA KOMPANIET. HAND CARVED USING A CHIPPENDALE INSPIRED DESIGN. SHAPED AND PIERCED BACK REST, SCROLLED CARVED ARMS, STANDING ON FRONT CABRIOLE LEGS WITH CARVED ACANTHUS DETAIL TO THE KNEE. ALL LEGS TERMINATING ON A PAD FOOT.
VERY COMFORTABLE CHAIRS WHICH OFFER A VERY GENEROUS SEAT, MAKING THEM IDEAL FOR HALLWAY/RECEPTION ROOM CHAIRS. MAKERS LABEL ON THE UNDERSIDE OF EACH.
FABRIC COVER NOW IN OBVIOUS NEED OF REPLACEMENT, BUT IS JUST A RE-COVERING PROJECT AND NOT FULL UPHOLSTERY. MINOR SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK.
