Description

A fine pair of 19th century Swedish carved gilt armchairs, circa 1860, in the Gustavian style. Each shaped back is adorned with ebonised leaf detailing contrasting beautifully with the gilt, complemented by Egyptian Revival mounts below the arms and standing on tapered legs. The gilt remains in original condition with honest wear and losses, while the later silk upholstery is in good order with minor fading.

GILT IN ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH WEAR AND LOSSES. FABRIC IN GOOD ORDER WITH MINOR FADING.
