Description

This Scandinavian chest of drawers, circa 1960, is a fine example of Swedish Modern furniture. The birch top, turned handles and feet contrast beautifully with the painted pine body, which has been fully restored in our workshop: the original marked paint was removed and replaced with a winter grey chalk-based finish. Three graduating drawers stand on cabriole legs, ready for bedroom or hallway use.

BIRCH TOP WITH FURTHER BIRCH ELEMENTS SUCH AS THE HANDLES AND FEET, WITH A PAINTED PINE MAIN BODY. 3 GRADUATING DRAWERS FITTED WITH TURNED HANDLES AND METAL KEY HOLE, STANDING ON 4 CABRIOLE LEGS.

ORIGINAL PAINT WHICH WAS MARKED AND STAINED HAS BEEN REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH A WINTER GREY CHALK BASED PAINT, WHICH PROVIDES AND EXCELLENT CONTRAST TO THE GOLDEN BIRCH ELEMENTS. IDEAL FOR USE IN THE BEDROOM OR HALLWAY.
