Description

This late Georgian walnut chest on chest, circa 1800, is a handsome two-part piece with a moulded cornice and two over three crossbanded drawers veneered in understated burr walnut, above three graduating drawers raised on splayed feet. With ornate brass handles, restorations to the woodwork and minor surface marks, it remains ready for everyday use.

TOP SECTION WITH MOULDED CORNICE AND FITTED WITH 2 OVER 3 DRAWERS, EACH CROSS BANDED AND VENEERED IN AN UNDERSTATED BURR WALNUT AND ORNATE BRASS HANDLES. BOTTOM SECTION FITTED WITH 3 GRADUATING DRAWERS AND RAISED ON SPLAYED FEET TO THE FRONT AND A BRACKET FOOT TO THE BACK.
