18TH CENTURY PAINTED OAK SCANDINAVIAN BAROQUE REVIVAL CHEST OF DRAWERS CIRCA 1790.
MADE FROM SOLID OAK THIS 4 DRAWER COMMODE OFFERS GENEROUS PROPORTIONS.
4 SHAPED DRAWERS WITH ORNATE BRASS HANDLES AND KEY PLATES. DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE CHEST, WHEN IT WAS MADE IT WAS DESIGNED IN 2 SECTIONS SO IT COULD BE INSTALLED INTO SMALLER PROPERTIES, AND DOOR WAYS.
STANDING ON 4 SHAPED CABRIOLE LEGS.
LATER PAINT WHICH HAS SINCE TAKEN ON A DESIRABLE FADED APPEARANCE, LATER BRASS HARDWARE. MINOR AGE SPLITS TO WOODWORK ON TOP SURFACE, BUT NOTHING STRUCTURALLY.
