LATE 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK JOHN PURDEN LONDON CIRCA 1790.

GEORGIAN LONGCASE CLOCK IN MAHOGANY CIRCA 1790. MOVEMENT MADE AND SIGNED BY THE WELL KNOWN MOVEMENT MAKER JOHN PURDEN OF LONDON. MOVEMENT WITH ROMAN AND ARABIC NUMERALS. MOVEMENT HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY SERVICED AND READY TO BE CORRECTLY SET UP FOR EVERYDAY USE. HOOD WITH GLAZED DOOR FOR WINDING. COLUMNS TO THE HOOD AND RECESSED INTO THE CASE WITH BRASS MOUNTS.

RESTORATIONS TO EXPECTED AGE RELATED SHRINKAGE TO BOTTOM OF CASE. SOME EXPECTED WEAR TO CLOCK FACE, REPLACED BACK BOARDS TO HOOD.
