Description

This early 19th century painted iron safe, circa 1830, is a handsome piece of Victorian metalware in near original condition and still fully functioning. Cast fielded panels adorn the front and sides, while the original key still works the lock, opening to reveal a later wooden interior of some age itself. Later painted in a black and green scheme, it shows expected rubbing and wear to the paint with slight rusting to surfaces. A carrying handle sits to the top of this very heavy item.
