Description

This stunning Karelian burr birch sideboard was made by SMF Bodafors around 1950. Beautifully coloured quarter-matched veneers adorn the three doors, which open to reveal cupboards with two adjustable shelves, while three drawers below are decorated with applied carvings. The piece stands on short cabriole legs carved with acanthus leaves, showing only minor surface marks and slight rippling to the veneer in one area.

BEAUTIFUL COLOUR AND BURR BIRCH VENEERS USED ON THIS PIECE. 3 DOORS TO THE FRONT PROVIDING A DOUBLE DOOR AND A SINGLE DOOR CUPBOARD, EACH WITH QUARTER MATCHED VENEERS. INTERIOR WITH 2 ADJUSTABLE SHELVES.

BELOW THE CUPBOARD ARE 3 DRAWERS WHICH OPEN ON THE KEY, ALL DECORATED WITH APPLIED CARVINGS.

STANDING ON SHORT CABRIOLE LEGS WITH CARVED ACANTHUS LEAVES.

MINOR SURFACE MARKS. VERY SLIGHT RIPPLING TO VENEER ON TOP SURFACE IN 1 AREA.
