Description

This Victorian stationary box, made in fiddleback pollard oak with ornate brass strap work and escutcheon, dates to circa 1890. A beautiful quality piece of desktop storage, it opens with a working lock and key to a fitted interior for envelopes, calling cards and stamps, complete with a removable pen tray. In a good rich golden colour, it shows one small area of restoration to the back corner.
