This 19th century Swedish dug out chair, circa 1870, is a charmingly rustic piece of pine, hand crafted from a tree trunk to form a small seat with a lifting lid for storage. Metal bound around the centre and base and painted in a deep red plum tone, it shows expected age splits, paint losses and surface marks, yet remains ready for everyday use.

METAL BOUND AROUND THE CENTRE AND BASE. PAINTED IN A DEEP RED.
