Description

An elegant Swedish carved birch sofa, circa 1880, in the Empire style. The straight back is framed by a shaped birch border, with roll top arms carved with acanthus leaf detailing flowing down to an applied carved plaque above the foot, all standing on three carved scrolling legs. The green upholstery seats three comfortably and has recently been professionally cleaned, showing some natural daylight fading to the centre. Expected minor surface marks to the woodwork and minor veneer repairs are consistent with its age.

UPHOLSTERY IS IN USABLE CONDITION WITH SOME NATURAL DAYLIGHT FADING TO THE CENTRE. (PLEASE SEE PICTURES) COMPLETE WITH 2 CUSHIONS. COVERING HAS RECENTLY BEEN PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED.
