19TH CENTURY FRENCH CARVED PALISANDER ARMCHAIR CIRCA 1870.

STUNNING ARMCHAIR, FINELY CARVED TO THE HIGHEST QUALITY AND UNUSUALLY MADE FROM PALISANDER, A MEMBER OF THE ROSEWOOD FAMILY.

CARTOUCHE SHAPED BACK REST, WITH HEAVILY CARVED DETAILING, FLUTED BACK REST SUPPORTS LEAD DOWN THE ARMS, WHICH HAVE APPLIED ARM RESTS. ARMS WITH A FINIAL DETAIL AND SUPPORTED BY A TURNED AND FLUTED SUPPORT WHICH FLOWS INTO THE LEG.

STANDS ON 4 FLUTED LEGS, FRONT LEGS WITH ORIGINAL BRASS CASTORS.

UPHOLSTERED IN A ROUGE VELOUR FABRIC AND MATCHING BRAID.

SOME EXPECTED DAYLIGHT FADING TO FABRIC. MINOR SURFACE MARKS AND RESTORATIONS TO WOODWORK.
