19TH CENTURY DANISH CARVED FLAME MAHOGANY CENTER TABLE CIRCA 1860.
BEAUTIFULLY SHAPED TOP SURFACE WITH STRIKING HALF MATCHING VENEER TOP. SLIGHTLY OVER-SAILING TOP SITS ON AN APRON OF THE SAME SHAPE. SUPPORTED BY A FLUTED STEAM WHICH SPLAYS OUT TO THE QUADRIFORM BASE, DECORATED WITH APPLIED HAND CARVED MOULDINGS. TERMINATING ON 4 SCROLLED FEET AND BRASS CASTORS.
STUNNING TABLE WITH GOOD COLOUR AND PATINA, WOULD WORK WELL AS A SOFA TABLE OR EQUALLY IN THE HALLWAY AS A CENTER TABLE.
VERY MINOR SHRINKAGE TO VENEER ON TOP SURFACE. MINOR SURFACE MARKS IN LINE WITH AGE AND USE. RECENTLY RE-POLISHED TOP IN OUR WORKSHOP.
