Description

This Chinese lacquered hardwood sideboard, circa 1870, is a large and fine quality piece of Victorian-era Chinese export furniture. The panel top with carved scrolled ends sits above three drawers fitted with ring handles, while the shaped apron is decorated with shells and swags. Standing on four shaped legs with scrolled feet, it shows minor wear to the lacquer work and slight shrinkage to the top surface, and is ready for everyday use.

LARGE AND FINE QUALITY CHINESE EXPORT SIDEBOARD. PANEL TOP WITH CARVED SCROLLED ENDS. BELOW THE TOP SURFACE WE HAVE 3 DRAWERS FITTED WITH RING HANDLES, WHICH PROVIDE AMPLE STORAGE. SHAPED APRON ALONG THE FRONT, DECORATED WITH SHELLS AND SWAGS. STANDING ON 4 SHAPED LEGS TERMINATING WITH A SCROLLED FOOT.

IDEAL FOR USE IN MULTIPLE ROOMS AROUND THE HOME, SUCH AS THE DINING ROOM OR HALLWAY.
