Description

This grand 19th century Gothic Revival sideboard in carved oak, circa 1860, offers real presence with its profusely carved mirror, shaped cornice and decorative figures and foliage. Three drawers with carved grotesques and bird handles sit above twin pedestal doors on plinth bases, the right-hand side showing evidence of having been lined as a cellarette. Minor surface fading and small carving losses are to be expected, and the plate mirror is a later replacement.
