Description

This Biedermeier sofa table, circa 1825, is beautifully made from burr birch, giving it strong grains and rich colour. Its drop-flap leaves extend the length to just over 63 inches, with a single deep drawer beneath the top. Turned and carved columns at each end are united by a matching stretcher, standing on scrolled legs with lion paw feet and brass castors. Showing only minor surface marks and offered in original condition, it is a fine piece of its kind.
