Description

This small English oak coffer, circa 1790, offers fine Georgian character with three fielded panels to the front, each flanked by beaded decoration. The lid opens on its original hinges to reveal generous storage, and the piece retains a good colour and patina. Expected age splits between the top planks, surface marks, a missing lock and evidence of dead treated worm to the feet are consistent with its age.
