Description

This early 20th century filing chest of drawers, in solid oak and dating to circa 1910, is a practical piece of Edwardian character with thirteen graduating drawers, each fitted with a metal handle that takes a label. A pull-out brushing slide sits above a key lockable drawer operating a handmade system that locks all the others. Professionally cleaned back with its patina retained, it shows expected surface marks from use, drag marks to the top, a small high-standard patch near the base and replaced backboards to the lower back. Rich golden in colour and ready for everyday use.
