Description

This unusual oak and leather rocking chair, circa 1910, is very much in the plantation style, with wide splayed arms and a substantial exposed wooden frame. Its black leather button-back seat cushions are removable and original to the piece, and it reclines to various levels with the support of a removable brass rod. Original seat springs remain, with minor surface marks to the woodwork and expected wear to the leather.

VERY MUCH IN THE PLANTATION STYLE WITH IT’S WIDE SPLAYED ARMS, EXPOSED SUBSTANTIAL WOODEN FRAMEWORK. CAN RECLINE TO VARIOUS LEVELS WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE REMOVABLE BRASS ROD. ORIGINAL SEAT SPRINGS AND SMOOTH ROCKING MOVEMENT. LEATHER CUSHIONS ARE REMOVABLE AND ORIGINAL TO THE PIECE.

MINOR SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK. EXPECTED WEAR AND FADING TO LEATHER BUT PLENTY OF LIFE LEFT IN THEM FOR EVERYDAY USE.
