Description

This Regency mahogany fire screen, circa 1830, offers a fine degree of craftsmanship in its adjustable shield-shaped panel, framed by an inlaid border and set with a floral French silk insert. The original pole and brass threaded catch remain, above a fluted stem and stepped triform base with inlaid florals to each foot. Showing expected minor surface marks in line with age and use.

FULLY ADJUSTABLE SHIELD SHAPE SCREEN, INLAID BORDER WITH A FLORAL FRENCH SILK INSERT. ORIGINAL POLE AND BRASS THREADED CATCH. FLUTED STEM AND STANDING ON A STEPPED TRIFORM BASE, WHICH HAS INLAID FLORALS ON EACH FOOT. STANDING ON 3 TURNED FEET.

EXPECTED MINOR SURFACE MARKS IN LINE WITH AGE AND USE. GOOD QUALITY DECORATIVE ITEM FOR ANY PERIOD FIREPLACE.
