This Swedish pine baroque box, dating to circa 1740, is an oval decorative piece of good quality, profusely decorated and bound with iron strap work, edging and hinges, all retaining their original studs. Showing expected surface marks and age splits to the woodwork, it remains structurally sound and would sit comfortably among drawing room furniture.
