Description

This early 20th century American display cabinet, circa 1900, was made by the well-known makers Quincy Showcase Works of Illinois and retains its makers label. Glass construction with decorative metal mounts on a shaped plinth base, it offers access through two sliding doors to the reverse and a black baize-lined interior. Originally a table top cabinet, it has been sympathetically provided with a fixed base for 360 degree viewing; original glass shows minor surface marks that add to its patina.

ORIGINALLY A TABLE TOP CABINET HAS NOW BEEN PROVIDED WITH A COMPLIMENTARY FIXED BASE FOR 360 VIEWING.

ORIGINAL GLASS, MINOR SURFACE MARKS AND RUBBING WHICH ONLY ADDS TO THE PATINA.
