This 18th century Swedish turret clock face and movement, circa 1787, was reclaimed from Rosendal Palace in Sweden. The painted metal face is dated 1787 in all four corners and shows obvious fading with minor losses to the metalwork. The movement is in need of restoration, with parts missing, though it could equally serve for display.

‘Rosendal Palace was built in 1615 by the Privy Council Anders Bille of Råbelöv. It was inherited by his brother Claus Bille on Vanas and then came through inheritance and marriage to Kjell Barnekow. His widow Margareta von Ascheberg, left Rosendal and Ellinge inherited by his daughter and son-baron William Bennet. The starter Bennett sold the estate in 2015 to the Danish Poul M Mikkelsen’
